Stout and capable, this Titanium framelock is built using .187" thick 6al4V Ti paired with a bronze liner under a bronze bolster & peeled texture black G10 scale on the presentation side. Always searching for new and interesting patterns and textures to use in his build process, Dave worked up a milled plaid pattern for this folder. The end result is a two tone satin/bead blast bronze anodized surface on the Titanium and a contiguous matching pattern that really looks great on the presentation side as it runs from the peeled surface into the bronze bolster.
All bronze was heat colored using a torch, and all titanium was bronze anodized using a electro bath. The clip on this folder was also milled to match up with the pattern runing through the frame, and you'll notice that the titanium pivot screws and pivot collars were not only anodized to match, but on the lock side function as both overtravel stop and lockbar stabilizer.
Blade is hand ground RWL-34, heat treated by Bos with two toned satin stonewashed flats and acidwashed grinds. Blade rides on phosphor bronze washers with a ceramic detent, carbidized lock face, locking up firmly at 25% on face. Super smooth and flickable with a clean and easy release.
