Custom - Kingdom Armory - Stag
From Dave's personal collection-Dave made this fixed blade near the beginning of 2017, as a bushcraft/hunting knife for himself. One of the first Stag models made, this one was made alongside the official prototype for this model. It was constructed from D2 for extreme toughness and given a nice satin stonewashed finish for durability. The scales are OD G10 with a CC'd contour for comfort and attached using titanium bolts, making the scale removable for cleaning should the need arise.
The sheath was made by Apocalypse Sheath using a clam-shell kydex design that can be worn both on a drop rig orientation, or horizontal in a cross draw or small of the back carry making use of the Tek-Lok. A bushcraft ferro (sparking) rod was built into the sheath design as well. Upon returning to the KA shop, Dave "suede'd" the black leather belt fob giving it a soft grey tone, then hand stenciled the stag skull logo for a more unique look.
Hand hollow ground and heat treated by bos, this fixed blade is hair popping sharp and does have a sharpened swedge on the nose.
The spydie hole in the blade is not just an aesthetic, but a functional index point when choked up for detailed work. Speaking of which, many of you may have seen and handled this knife as it made the circuit this past year with Spyderco. A few of my designs toured the most popular knife shows in both Europe and the U.S. to get a customer feel and feedback regarding possible KA/Spyderco collaborations. Instead of hitting Dave's belt, this Stag made the rounds and was recently returned home. Unused, but well traveled, Dave just gave everything the once over and it is now available here on the Stag shop!

Material .156" D2 carbon tool steel (which is only 2% away from being considered true stainless, meaning it has enough carbon to be extremely tough and shock resistant, but also close enough to stainless to increase corrosion resistance) D2 will also still spark a ferro rod
