Full custom "modified" blade shape - Rook Framelock in Swedish Damasteel - The original spydie flick design

Hand hollow ground blade made from Swedish stainless damascus by Damasteel Labs in Söderfors Sweden. The pattern has been meticulously centered down the blades core to highlight the amazing pattern in this steel. Detailed and milled jimping and a high polish prior to etching really makes things pop!

This frame was fabricated from .187" thick 6al4V titanium, as was the full length backspacer and hand fabricated pocket clip. A nice rounded CC'd contour makes for a very comfortable and easy to carry folder, and a satin wire wheel texture gives all the Ti a classy but extremely durable finish. Various linear milling details add to the interest and clean lines. The copper collared stainless pivot has been designed to act as both an over-travel and lock-bar stabilizer, adding those benefits in an unobtrusive manner that has affectionately been label the 'hub cap" pivot. 

In keeping with the mixed metal look of this build, Dave used a brass knurled nob and threaded post to attach the step milled pocket clip. Additionally, the two presentation side tail screws were charcoal black PVD coated for some extra contrast.

Blade runs on phosphor bronze washers and a ceramic detent, giving a positive yet smooth action. Lockface has been carbidized for a clean and long lasting release, which locks up securely at approx. 20% on face.

Overall a very cool and unique adapation of the Kingdom Armory Rook design built with top notch materials from the US and Sweden. Folder will ship in a waterproof hardcase wrapped in a custom hand sewn KA hank.
