KA Custom Japanese-Influence Filet Knife
KA Custom Japanese-Influence Fish Knife
Kitchen filet knife
One off full custom filet knife with a fair amount of Japanese design language incorporated into the design. This hand flat ground fish knife would be at home removing filets from the biggest salmon in the field, or cutting up Poke for your next family gathering.
Made from Bos heat treated CPM154, it is both extremely stain resistant and flexible as a good filet knife should be. The sintered nature of this material really does make for an ideal kitcken knife, and although not the latest vogue "super steel" CPM154 is a workhorse material that holds up to being left in a wet sink and can still be ground thin and flexible without snapping from use. The Rydbom family kitchen block is filled with knives made from CPM154
Scales are nicely contoured deep burgundy linen micarta, epoxied and affixed with brass rod. The forward stepped bolster area is a functional design addition, that provides a flat non slip orientation spot for your thumb when the knife is turned sideways to cuts filets. Milled jimping down the spine provides another non slip point during more robust cutting. The subtle transition from handle to an upward sweeping spine helps imparting more cutting force with less effort on the draw, while keeping your knuckles up off the counter.
Felt and wool Saya is fabricated outside Hood River, OR for all Kingdom Armory kitchen knives. A traditional way to transport and protect good cutlery, this slip sheath is both functional and a beautiful way to safely transport and store your blade.
