Just pulled from the personal collection in Dave's Curio Cabinet, this fixed blade is a throwback offering this morning! Made circa 2008, this fixed blade remains the thickest Dave has made to date... having used 5/16" stock. Steel type has been forgotten over the years. (seriously, we're lucky Dave rememberd when he made it) It is a high quality stainless though, and is one of only 5 or 6 knives ever made that wears the old school Bos heat treat and KA Helmet logos that were hand stamped into the steel during the anealed state. The Bos stamp only lasted about 5 strikes before Dave crushed it and rendered it useless. Lenny.
High hollow grinds do a nice job of getting this piece of steel down to a keen cutting edge, and are finished in a satin scotch brite while the flats are bead blasted. Scales were fabricated from canvas micarta and are affixed with bead blasted Titanium Sex Bolts. (stop snickering)
This would make a great survival or bug out bag knife, being a great length for a bushcraft blade and carrying enough heft and thickness for chopping or driving stakes in with the spine. Cordura drop sheath included.
