Kingdom Armory One-Off Custom - Boot Knife

Completely designed and hand-built by Dave as a true one-off custom fixed blade. Made from high carbon 50100, heat treated By Bos and intentionally left in the blue in some areas... the goal with this build was to infuse a late 1800's gamblers boot knife with the modernist Kingdom design language. Double hollow ground dagger grind with satin finish contrasts nicely with the blued fuller (blood groove) that runs the length of both sides. The scales were fabricated from a piece of crosscut vintage brown micarta, shadow boxed around the edges to expose the full tang, and affixed with traditional brass pins. (and epoxied). The scales were given a nice rounded contour while the forward portion has been stepped down to create a flat ledge. You wouldn't think this as important as it really is to the feel and function of the handle until you pick it up! Extremely comfortable in the hand, that elevation change gives your thumb and nice secure place to rest, and in reverse grip a rock solid hold as your last finger really locks into that ledge.

OD green kydex sheath was sole-authored by Dave as well and offers either a modern attachment use with the function of the Tek-Lok, or a more traditional style of wearing by utilizing the metal spring clip. (material is actual Boltralon, a kydex equivalent that Dave prefers due to it's tendency to leave less rub marks on the blade... although with use, that is sort of inevitable with any sheath of this style)
