KA Custom Super Butcher

Dave's Super Butcher (or super BtB-f) is a stretched variation of the original BtB-f design. It is 1.5" longer, with half of that being in the frame and half in blade length. Giving the super butcher a 3.5" long blade, without enlarging any other dimensions. The result is a longer folding butcher with the perception of also being thinner.

Made from 6al4v titanium with inset marine brass bolsters to create a "bolster-lock" frame configuration. This folder is wearing a satin orange peel finish that contrasts nicely with the glass bead blasted brass appointments. The hand fabricated titanium clip is affixed with a knurled brass nut at the tail. The presentation side is brass bolstered using a brass liner matching brass liner. Blade is asymmetrically duplex hand ground in Swedish RWL-34. Heat treating was done by Bos, and it wears a clean an utilitarian scotch brite satin finish.

Blade rides smoothly on phosphor bronze washers around a stainless and titanium Steve Kelly pivot. Lock up is firm at 25% on face with a clean and crisp release. Lock-face has been carbidized for longevity. All hardware is either stainless or satin finished titanium.
