KA Custom Short Myers Fixed Blade / Field Knife

 As you all know, the Kingdom fixed blades seem to run the gamut from kitchen utensil to outrageous Rambo inspired survival pieces. Usually inspired in part at least by pop culture and Dave’s High C soaked childhood of the 80’s. The dude is in a unique position creatively to mash up an overactive imagination while leaning into decades of experience in the field. Can the worlds oldest tool be made functional, yet also inspirational and a joy to use in it’s intended purpose. That my friends is Dave’s life work there.

Originally designed for a prospective spyderco collab, this fixed blades fits right into the family of “Jason” kitchen knives and appears closely related to last years “Michael Myers” release. Basically a short Mikey with a bit of step up to the spine, this exact fixed blade was made during the filming of “how to flat grind”, as part of the coming Kingdom Class teaching courses. Serial #3 – this multi purpose design offers even more vertical real estate with that step up, to create a taller and more “slicey” flat grind. Equally at home … well, at home doing food prep, or in the filed as a camp kitchen or bushcraft blade.

10” overall length split equally between handle and blade, the scales were fabricated from black linen micarta and affixed with titanium bolts. This material has the benefit of a clean aesthetic while providing a great griping surface while wet or dry. A nice tumbled satin stonewashed finish will prove to be extremely durable and corrosion resistant, especially on a blade fabricated from CPM154… Dave’s favorite steel. Proven, field tested, all round the best steel for edge retention, chip resistance, durability and ease of end user maintenance. Theres a good reason it’s been around and popular for decades!

The sheath is a sole authored kydex drop rig made by Dave to be worn either as a drop rig from the leather loop, or SOB / cross draw horizontal with the attached Tek Lok.
