KA Custom Jiblet - Full Sculpted Skeletonized

 The Jiblet is a design that is Dave's imagining of a "pocket fixed blade". If you were going to toss a small fixed blade in a coat pocket, or stash one in a small pack this would be your knife. Small, ultra light weight with a huge drop belly...this knife really does have a lot going on for it in a very small envelope. 

The blade shape is a drop belly, modified spear point, so it lends itself well to general purpose cutting as well as more specialized gutting and skinning chores like a traditional "bird and trout" design might be employed for. Made CPM154, heat treated by Bos and given a two tone acid darkened and satin stonewashed finish. The double bevel hollow grind does a great job of getting down to a nice cutting edge in a blade this size. 

In this iteration, Dave built this out in a "skeletonized" form without scales... instead choosing to hand grind the sculpted pattern you see into the knife in its entirety. Not only does this give a unique and organic appearance much like old stone flint knapped tools, but it also does a great job of reducing the weight while providing some extra grip in thick stock like this. The addition of the OD paracord snake knot at the tail adds some extra gripping surface and detail. 

The sheath was pressed by Dave here at the KA shop, and although intended to be worn as a necker...the attachment of the utility-clip allows for a multitude of carrying options, including clipped into a pocket ala' EDC style
