One of only 4 or 5 made in almost 20 years, the KA Cleaver isn't seen hardly ever. Fabricated from 3/16" thick CPM154 stainless and over a foot long, this fixed blade is an impressive chunk of custom steel! True to a Halloween special release, Dave leaned into the creepy vibe for this build. Hand-sculpted details were added and given an acid-washed finish, that really adds to that effect and contrasts the satin-stonewashed flat grind. That grind was intentionally left in the rough and only worked up to 80 grit on the grinder, adding to the rustic horror shed vibe. "Long sleeve or Short sleeve"? Black G10 scales were textured with Dave's old-school dragonskin texture and wear red liners underneath for an extra pop of creep.
The sheath is a sole-authored drop rig affair that nicely fits the cleaver, and offers many carry options given the attached tek-lok on the reverse. The front attached mag pouch is perfectly sized for a tin full of bandaids! Fitting, but maybe a suture kit would be a better idea?!
