Located in the South of Sweden this spring and shipped to the KA shop for restoration, this hand forged relic of a bygone age of squared up posts and beams is now ready for a new life. Chopping, splitting, squaring...or simply intimidating co-workers with its awesomeness and implied political leanings while it stares at the world form your shelf.
Hand stripped and wire finished by Dave, the poll was also refaced and the cheeks reground. Being constructed of mild steel with a high carbon laminated cutting edge forged welded in, the axe took and will keep a very keen cutting edge. Don't drop it on your foot! Original forging laminations and visible usage marks attest to its age and previous life (just like scars tell a story and make it cool). Only shoe collectors want their things untouched and not breathed on. This axe has breathed several lifetimes of usefulness, and was never meant to pair with athleisure joggers homie. That's what makes it cool. History. It is iconic and eternal. It will always be useful to somebody who appreciates usefulness, unlike your new jeezy kicks.
Classic Scandinavian pattern design in its elements, original maker lost to time, but "LN" is stamped in the presentation side. Rydböm Heritage chop logo'd on reverse in honor.
22" White ash haft and leather sheath custom fabricated by Emile at Trinity Boletus in Quebec, and later paint detailed upon it's return by Dave. Kingdom lettering negative imaged into a two tone black finish.
